Last Friday, my friend Stacey came over with her son Brayden, who is 7 weeks older than Ryan, to paint pumpkins in the backyard.
Since this was Ryan's first solo craft and first time using paint, I decided it needed to be blogged.
A couple of memories from his first painting experience:
- When I handed him the paint brush and told him we were going to "brush, brush, brush" with it, he lifted it up to his head and started brushing his hair. :)
- He liked watching Brayden to see what he was doing with his paint and pumpkin.
- A couple of minutes into painting, he gave up on using the brush and started rolling the pumpkin in the paint! If there was ever any question that he was my child... ;)
Since finishing his pumpkin, he has loved looking at it in the house and showing other people when they come over. Sweet buddy.
Soo cute. He looks so proud!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! We've never tried painting pumpkins before, but it seems to be becoming a trend!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely do it! A super simple craft that's really all them. The crafts that need a whole lot of parental help are not good for me and my lack of craftiness! ;)

ReplyDeleteI appreciate Ryan's efficiency, haha.
