Truth: spoken from the mouth of an eight year old

Few things have changed my life and my perspective on faith like watching our UpStreet kids grasp what it means to serve a God who loves them and who sent His Son to die for them.

When we first started this journey five years ago with a group of kids who were two and three years old, we had NO idea how much WE would learn from THEM.

There's a reason why God calls us to childlike faith.

Faith is supposed to be simple. Life changing and simple- all at the same time.

The video I'm sharing today (with the permission of his mom) is of one of our UpStreet kids who was in our class during his kindergarten and first grade years. In second grade, his family moved to one of our church campuses that opened closer to their house, so we no longer got to see him each week.

In the past year, he decided to put his faith in Jesus and asked his parents if he could be baptized.

This video is his testimony of what faith means to him and why he chose to be baptized.

Oh, and it's pretty much the clearest explanation of the gospel I've ever heard. ;)

We'll be back from the beach this weekend and ready to share pictures from the trip and answers to your questions from the Q&A post.

If you missed this week's recipe for Baked Rigatoni with Sweet Italian Sausage, you can find it here.

See you tomorrow for a recap of this week's #nelsendays2014 pics. Have a good one!
