This is one of Matt's favorite dishes- which works out quite well for me since it only calls for three ingredients, or four if you sprinkle the poppy seeds on top.
What you'll need:
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Vidalia Onion Dressing (I use Ken's or Costco's)
Ritz Crackers
Poppy Seeds (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Trim chicken of excess fat. Place chicken in a baking dish. Poke chicken with a fork multiple times. Pour dressing on top. Crumble ritz crackers on top of dressing. Bake for 35 minutes, or until cutting chicken produces a clear liquid. Serve with your favorite sides. I use Publix Steamable Broccoli and Rice-a-Roni Rice Pilaf.
This looks amazing! I'm a teacher & as my kids were finishing up a quiz one of them came by my desk & said she thought it looked "delish." Quick question though: do you dump the entire bottle of dressing into the pan?
ReplyDeleteI just cover the chicken and pour enough for dipping too. ;)
DeleteThis sounds amazing!!! I have a chicken dish that I used crushed up ritz crackers and melted butter for, I try not to make it too much because of the butter aspect, but this is quite different. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love simple dishes! Definitely will try this one. Does it have an onion-ey taste?? My hubby's not a big fan of onions.
