INGREDIENTS:
- 1- 16oz. package sweet sausage (This time, I used this one, but I usually buy this Jimmy Dean Maple Sausage) ...if you double this recipe, cook one maple sausage with one hot sausage- it's the perfect blend of spicy and sweet*
- 1- 8oz. package cream cheese (I always buy 1/3 less fat- but let's be honest, this is not a low cal meal)
- 2- packages butter flake Pillsbury Crescent rolls
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375. Brown sausage. Drain excess grease. Return to pan. Add cream cheese. Mix until well blended. Roll out packages of crescent rolls. Cut strips in the sides, 3/4 of the way to the center. Lay sausage mixture down the center of the crescent rolls. Starting from the top, pull up two sides of the crescent rolls, twist, and lay in the center. For a more detailed explanation of how to twist the crescents into a braid, click here. Bake for 14-18 minutes, or until golden brown.

ReplyDeleteHeather, we (Victoria and I) changed your recipe just a little by adding Rotel tomatoes (diced tomato with green chilies), by adding after cooking the sausage then the cream cheese. Yummy! Janie
