Early Birthday Getaway!

Last weekend, Matt took me on an early-birthday-celebration trip down to Reynold's Plantation. Most (okay, maybe all) of the places we visit, I find through Travelzoo, Groupon, Living Social, or just Google search the word "cheap" before whatever vacation destination I'm looking for. (haha- it works!) This little trip Matt planned, however, was on a different level all together. He spoiled me rotten! I felt so fancy for the whole day and a half we were there! He did tell me though (he knows me well and knows I love a deal!) that he was able to get us early check-in, late check-out, and $100 dining credit. And as we were checking in, he used his sweetness and charm to get us a room upgrade. ;)

When we walked in the lobby, I said to him in my lowest whisper voice, "I'm really giddy on the inside, I'm just trying to act cool." Because people that are used to staying at the Ritz don't get giddy about it I don't think. So I waited until we got in the room to do my giddy dance (picture lots of unconnected, unchoreographed dance moves smashed together with arm thrusts and jumping).

Lobster Grilled Cheese. What?! OH. YUM.

So pretty so pretty!

Much fancier than the hangers in our closest- just sayin

hmmm... interesting

This fun little surprise was waiting for us in our room when we got back from the pool!

OMG this dinner was redic. It was so hard for me to not take a picture of the meal- but Matt said it probably wasn't the best setting for me to whip out the camera and photograph my plate. True.

S'mores!

Notice I'm wearing a bandeaux top- otherwise the next few pics could be questionable :)

Baby Shower for Baby Evie!

My sweet friend, Caitlyn, is due at the end of October with her first little one- Evie Claire. Cait is just as cute as she can be with her pregnant self! On Sunday, I got to throw a shower for her with her mom and sister. We had so much fun!

While I'm not super creative with artsy-type things, I do enjoy making cute stuff (eww.. I never let my kids use that word in writing) on the computer. Both of these ideas came from Pinterest, and I just used good ole fashion Microsoft Word to make the theme work for this shower.

Congratulations, Cait! We can't wait to meet 'lil miss Evie Claire!
