Oh Front Yard

The plumbers officially finished today- praise Jesus. We're definitely glad to have this behind us! Here are some shots from the last few days...

I'm hoping none of our neighbors were trying to sleep in or take a nap the last few days- drilling into asphault is not a subtle sound.

Here's what it looks like now:

I'm a little sad that our landscaped area is looking so rough, but at least the lines (water and sewer lines that is) weren't on the right side of the house- then they would have had to tear up our walkway and flowers!
Matt and I are thinking that we may be able to lay some grass seed in this freshly "tilled" area and actually grow real grass instead of just weeds! :)  The other nice part about the location of the demolition is that they cut out a bunch of the ivy in the front (hard to see in this picture), and if you've seen any of our backyard posts about pulling up ivy, we'll take all the help we can get!

Tomorrow, I'm off to Charleston with Andrea to visit Meagan and Emerson Grae!

  3. Ooo, real grass would be awesome. It can be a pain to get going, but it's worth the effort.
