Our Christmas Card and Family Photo Shoot

It's almost Christmas!! We are getting pretty excited around here. And I have to say, even though we were initially not going to get Ryan anything for Christmas (if you missed yesterday's post on the topic, you can check it out here), I'm really looking forward to having some things to open for the little guy on Christmas morning. :)

About a month ago, we did our first family photo shoot with Larissa Renee Photography. Larissa also did Ryan's newborn pictures, and we loved them so much (and loved her so much!) that we decided to use her again for our Christmas photos.

Unfortunately, the day we chose to meet turned out to be Ryan's first real day of teething. In fact, later that day, he broke a fever of 101.3. Of course we didn't know any of this that morning when we set out for our pictures! Thankfully, Larissa was able to get some sweet shots, but the only one we got of him smiling was the one of Matt holding him while I worked on getting him to smile. It was a little bit of bummer because he's such a smiley boy, but outside of that, I love how they turned out!

For our Christmas card, we used three of these photos for the front and then dressed up Ryan and Tally for a photo for the back.

If you know Tally, you know he smiles for the camera like he's a person, but of course, both boys decided to be quite serious for these photos as well. :)

Then we picked our favorite shot from Ryan's pictures with Santa to cap off the photos for the back.

And here's how it turned out!
