Last Friday, my friend Stacey came over with her son Brayden, who is 7 weeks older than Ryan, to paint pumpkins in the backyard.
Since this was Ryan's first solo craft and first time using paint, I decided it needed to be blogged.
A couple of memories from his first painting experience:
When I handed him the paint brush and told him we were going to "brush, brush, brush" with it, he lifted it up to his head and started brushing his hair. :)
He liked watching Brayden to see what he was doing with his paint and pumpkin.
A couple of minutes into painting, he gave up on using the brush and started rolling the pumpkin in the paint! If there was ever any question that he was my child... ;)
Since finishing his pumpkin, he has loved looking at it in the house and showing other people when they come over. Sweet buddy.
Well we're not quite at the middle of the month, but some months seem to go by faster than others, and this is definitely one of those months!
Elizabeth and I are glad you're stopping by and hope you'll join the link-up or leave a comment with some confessions of your own!
Here goes:
1.
I had a package sent to my sister's house because we were going to be out of town for a week. After the order was place, it dawned on me that we were going on vacation WITH my sister.
2.
I've been told I grocery shop like a contestant on Supermarket Sweep. Earlier this week, these two buddies got to zip around the store with me.
3.
I don't meal plan and know I probably will have to as our family continues to grow, but for now I like keeping a stocked fridge and pantry and making whatever I feel like eating around 5 o'clock. Setting a plan for an entire week of meals make me feel kind of claustrophobic- like what if my taste buds don't end up wanting that meal on Wednesday? #firstworldproblem
4.
Matt and I just learned what YETI is. Like last week.
5.
Yesterday, when Andrea and I were doing our Couch to 5k run with our boys in their strollers, a maintenance guy in a riding lawnmower made a point of stopping in front of me (after he drove past Andrea mind you) to say, "Man, you look tired!" ....If I had thought faster, I would have said, "I'll be sure to let my friend know she's looking great!"
6.
One Saturday night, the three of us were making an evening grocery run when Matt and I swore we saw Vince from Parenthood. Naturally, we both agreed that he should go stalk the random person so he could get a better look. Not Vince, unfortunately, but a very close look alike.
7.
7. On that same grocery run, I had one of those I'm-pregnant-and-I-might-die-right-here-if-I-don't-eat-something-NOW moments. So I opened a bag of crackers that were in our cart and worked my way through half of the bag before we made it to the checkout. Not my best moment, but certainly not my worst.
So let's here yours! Link up your post below or share you confessions in the comments section.

Before I share pictures from our weekend, some real quick business:
E and I will be hosting the Mid-Month Confessions link-up this Thursday. The month got away from the both of us so we had to push things back just a bit. Sorry for the change and hope you all can join us Thursday!
Each year, my college roommates and I plan a Clemson reunion weekend with our husbands, and usually the itty bitty babies come along for the fun. But this year, we decided to make it a big family reunion weekend and bring all of the kids. And I do mean ALL of them.
Between the five of us, the are 10 kids (10.5 if you count Baby Girl). :)
Our roommate Brittany decided to leave her youngest with her parents so that she and Caleb could have some quality time with their older two kids, so we ended up with 10 total adults and 9 kids. And it was a blast!
The kids were seriously amazing together. They all got along so well. The little ones tried to keep up with the big ones, and the big ones were so sweet with the little ones. It was almost too good to be true. That's what being in Clemson does to people though. ;)
We all arrived Thursday night, spent Friday and Saturday on campus and playing at the house, and then left to head back home Sunday morning. The whole weekend was so much fun. Seeing all of our kids together and knowing how fast they were all going to grow made me want to freeze time.
Here are some pics from our time together.
The view from the deck each morning was beautiful!
Our group walking through downtown was pretty funny- 10 adults, 9 kids, and four strollers
The big kids held hands everywhere we walked. Sweet buddies. :)
Love the girls!
Ryan walked all over the place!
The picture is a little dark but these two are playing peek-a-boo and baby Ryder has the biggest, sweetest grin on his face.
Four of us passed out while the kids were napping and Matt snapped this picture while we crashed.
Ryan started this spoon fetish this weekend. He wanted at least one spoon in his hand at all times. In this pic, he's holding two and started a little trend with the other babies. At ones point there were four of them walking around on the deck with two spoons- ha! Sweet and funny babes.
Story time before bed!
On our last morning together, Ryan and Reynolds both woke up early, so Andrea and I got to spend some extra quality bonding time in the kitchen with our boys while they cracked us up with their funny personalities and current tricks.
Before heading home that day, we had an early lunch at Grouchos with Andrea's family, and after Patrick said the prayer for our food, Ryan gave a loud "Amen" completely on his own- ha! We've never really worked on him saying that so hearing him repeat it after Patrick closed the prayer was pretty funny! And maybe funnier was the way he looked at us all like, "What's the big deal? I didn't make up the word, I just repeated it." So once we were in the car, I took a quick video of him saying it again:
