Baby Shower!

This past weekend, I helped host a baby shower for one of my best friends and college roommates, Andrea. Andrea and I pretty much live together in the summertime (she is a teacher too), and each summer since we've started teaching has been marked by some significant life change for one of us: graduating for grad school, marriage, buying houses, renovating houses... and now, a BABY! Little Teagan is due on July 17th, so based on the number of waking hours that we spend together during the summer, there is a good chance I will actually be the one driving her to the hospital when baby Teagan decides to arrive!! (Here's to hoping! ;) )

Here are some pics from the day!

Weekend Wrap-up Part 2: Mother's Day!

We are very lucky to have both of our families in town so that we can celebrate together on special occasions. We're both also very blessed to have mamas as amazing as ours! I don't know what we would do if we didn't get to see either of them as often as we do. We love you Mom and M! ;)

So peaceful!

Weekend Wrap-Up Part 1: Jackson turns one month, and Cooking Class take two!

I took last Friday off to celebrate Jackson's one month birthday! I figured it only happens once. I made my way to Karen's in the morning and did a whole lot of snuggling and staring for the next few hours... with a little adult conversation in between. :) He is SUCH a good baby! And pretty stinking cute too.

Oh my GOODness look at that little peanut!

That afternoon, I met up with my teacher friends at Hal's Kitchen for an afternoon cooking class! After the first cooking class that Matt took me to, I was excited to do another one! Our students' sweet parents went in together at this year's art auction and treated us all to the class. So sweet... and so fun!

Something was a lot funnier to me than the rest of the people standing next to me- big surprise.
